WHY DO WE DO IT?

At First Touch®, we believe your gear should help you play, not affect the way you play. Your change of direction, your run into space, your first touch… These are all moments in your games and your trainings that matter. But when your shin pads are constantly moving, your socks are scrunching in your boots, and you're having to re-adjust your gear mid game, those moments become harder to perform in. 

This is exactly why we started First Touch® football. We wanted to create football gear that not only feels comfortable, lightweight and quality, but also never gets in the way of how you play. Gear that does its job so well that you don’t even notice it’s there. 

Our goal is to make you forget you’re even wearing us!

We’ve all experienced those little frustrations on the pitch. The sock that scrunches in your boot causing you slip and lose possession, or that time you conceded a goal because you were adjusting your shin pad... These are painful moments in our career where our football accessories failed us, and stopped us from performing to our best possible level. Now, while we cannot go back in time and change these moments, what we can do is prevent them from happening again. Thats where we come in!

We've listened to your feedback! Our products are designed around the common game defining issues that our customers report going through in their football matches. Our customers have reported their concerns with their traditional football gear feeling too forced and intentional, when they'd prefer it to feel natural and thoughtless. So we have turned our focus into making football feel natural, stress free and fun again. From our Built-In Shin Pads, Mini Shin Pads and our Football Grip Socks, we’re building gear that frees your mind so all you have to do is lace up, and play.

We’re not interested in making gear for the sake of selling gear. We want to make gear that genuinely earn their place in your duffel bag.

We listen to real footballers, from the players who kick-about during the work week, to those fighting for their footballing career. We pay attention to features that they love, their fresh and unique ideas, and the small frustrations they wish they never had to deal with. 

That feedback is what helps shape our products. We want to understand what players actually need, then design gear that makes those needs feel simple.

First Touch® is proudly based in Adelaide, South Australia. We’re a small Australian football brand, and we’re building this whole thing from the ground up. We’re building this community with a focus on quality, utter convenience and products that genuinely make a difference.

We also want to support the football community around us. As we grow, we’re committed to working with local Aussie talent, sponsoring local refugee athletes, and local material suppliers wherever possible. Why? Because we believe there’s something special about building a brand that comes from the same football culture as the people who wear it.

We’re not trying to be the biggest brand in football. We’re trying to be a brand that footballers can trust. Every purchase helps us help our local football communities!
